Kid's Book Cover

For this project, I combined my love of illustrating dogs with my design skills to create a children’s book cover. After generating a story about a dog named Buddy who struggles to bark, I sketched him in a sad moment from the story. Inspired by the layout and charm of the “Spot” book series, I traced my drawing in Illustrator and designed the cover using a square format. I chose a dark blue background to contrast with white serif text in the font Canela, aiming to create a calm, soft aesthetic. To finish it off, I added a subtle paper texture for a more authentic, printed feel.
