For this project I was first asked to create two different logotypes for two businesses. Those two businesses being NorthEast Renewables and Virtual. I was then to design stationery for the company with themes from their logotypes.

NorthEast Renewables

I was only told that NorthEast Renewables is a renewable energy company that is dedicated to preserving the environment. From this, I knew that this company takes themselves seriously and is fairly modern. From this, I decided on using the DIN Alternate Bold font. I felt that it accurately represented the feel of the company stylistically. I then wanted to include an environmental theme in the logotype somehow. I drew inspiration from the leaf in the SNHU logo, and added some extra lines to insert an E into the leaf. I really liked the E leaf design that I made, so I made a pattern out of it for the background of each document.

Virtuall

I was only told that Virtuall was an online entertainment company. From this, I designed a playful logo in the shape of a television. I used transparency modes for the antennas so that the ends of the antennas look like eyes, making this logo into a sort of mascot character. I meant for this company to be a tween entertainment company, so it is still playful as represented with the television character, but also a little serious as represented with the dark blue coloring. The blue coloring also represents technology and this company primarily being online. I chose a rounded font to further emphasize that this company takes itself less serious than others. I used elements of the logo in the borders of the documents, also including elements of the overlapping transparency modes.
