Postcard Project

The guidelines for this assignment were to create three different postcards for a country of my choosing using only the pen tool. They had to somehow encapsulate the country that I chose by either representing a national landmark or a cultural piece. I chose Germany because my ancestry traces back to there. For my first postcard I chose to make a das boot with beer spilling onto the table and the word “Germany” filling the shape that I had made. The next was on the Brandenburg Gate. This one was a little more difficult as it was based on an actual photo and I had to accurately represent the perspective of that photo.

The last postcard that I made was on the Bastei Bridge. I feel like this one came out the best. I think that I represented the shading well in this kind of flat art style. The little details of the bridge also proved to be particularly difficult to capture with the pen tool.
